These terms govern your use of the Walking With Purpose app, provided by Walking With Purpose LTD ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Health disclaimer
Walking With Purpose is designed to encourage gentle, gradual physical activity. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. You should consult your GP or a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise programme, particularly if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have any concerns. Only walk within your own comfort and ability, and stop if you feel unwell. You take part at your own risk.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account. Accounts are for your personal, non-commercial use.
3. Using the app
The app records your walks, sets daily goals that increase gradually as you meet them, and can send reminders. Activity figures such as steps are estimates for motivation only and should not be relied upon as accurate measurements. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to access it in an unauthorised way, or use it in any unlawful manner.
4. Location features
If you allow location access, the app records a single location snapshot at the start and end of a walk. Location features are optional and the app works without them.
5. Your data
Our use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Intellectual property
The app, its content and branding are owned by Walking With Purpose LTD and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, suspend or withdraw features, and may change these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or injury arising from your use of the app or from physical activity you undertake. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
